Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains how Busy Tech Guy (“we”, “us”) uses personal information on busytechguy.com. busytechguy.com is owned and operated by its site owner, trading as Busy Tech Guy. You can contact us about this policy or your personal information at support@urbanforagepath.com.

What we collect

• Information you give us, such as your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter or contact us.
• Technical information collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, through cookies and similar technologies. We use the following services on this site, which may set cookies or collect technical information such as your IP address, device and pages visited: Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand how the site is used; Google AdSense to show advertising, which may use cookies to show ads (see how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage ad settings at adssettings.google.com); the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure and improve advertising (see Meta’s privacy policy); ShareThis sharing buttons; a Buy Me a Coffee support widget; and an InSite website personalisation script.

If you contact us through the contact form, we use your name, email address and message only to reply to you. Messages from the form are sent to our email inbox.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send you the email updates you asked for. You subscribe through a form on this website and then confirm your subscription by clicking a link in a confirmation email (double opt-in). We do not send marketing emails unless you have confirmed.

Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who processes your data: we use Kit (formerly ConvertKit), an email service provider, to store your email address and send our emails. Kit acts as a processor on our behalf and may process data outside the UK/EEA under its own safeguards; see Kit’s privacy policy at kit.com/privacy.

Unsubscribing: every email contains an unsubscribe link. We keep your email address while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a limited record that you have unsubscribed (so that we do not email you again) and any records we need for legal compliance or to deal with disputes. You can ask us at any time to delete your personal data entirely.

Your rights: you can ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, or object to or restrict how we use it, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Contact us using the details below.

Cookies and third parties

This site uses cookies and similar technologies from the services listed above. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Google also lets you manage personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
