GTA 6 Display Readiness Checker

Use this checklist to get your TV or monitor ready before launch. Rockstar has not published the game’s graphics modes, so it covers the settings you can check today, and it does not promise a frame rate or resolution.

How to use it

  1. Work through each group with your TV remote and console in front of you.
  2. Tick items as you finish. Ticks stay in this browser.
  3. After launch, record what you see in the graphics mode log.

Worked example

Example: your TV has four HDMI ports and only two support its highest refresh rate. The manual shows which ones, so you move the console to one of those, turn on Game Mode for that input, then confirm the console’s video output screen shows the expected signal.

What this tool assumes

TV menus differ by brand, so the names here are general. Turning on a setting your TV does not support will not help.

Questions

Do I need a new TV for GTA 6?

No requirement has been announced. Rockstar lists PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as the platforms. Check your current setup first.

Does GTA 6 support 120 Hz or VRR?

Not confirmed in the sources we checked. We will update this page if Rockstar or the platform stores confirm it.
