How Busy Tech Guy Verifies GTA VI Claims

We separate what Rockstar has said from what people think it might mean. Every GTA VI fact on Busy Tech Guy gets one of four labels, and we link to the source so you can check it yourself.
The four labels
| Label | What it means | What we accept |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmed | A primary source said it | Rockstar, Take-Two, PlayStation, Xbox, an official store, a ratings board, or direct testing in the released game |
| Reported | A named source reported it | A named publication with original sourcing. We say who reported it. |
| Speculation | Inference or theory | We explain the reasoning and avoid factual headlines. |
| Unknown | No reliable answer exists | We say so, and we do not fill the gap with a guess. |
How we check a claim
- Find the primary source. Read it directly, not a summary.
- Record the page and the date we checked it.
- If sources disagree, use the newest primary source. For example, an older Rockstar editions page said 12 November for pre-load, and the Pre-Load FAQ updated on 3 November says 10 November, so we use 10 November.
- Update the article, the tools, the FAQs and the structured data together.
- Add a dated line to the change log on the launch hub.
What we will not do
- Present fictional prices, missions or statistics as GTA VI facts.
- Show fake visitor counters, ratings or user numbers.
- Claim hands-on testing we have not done.
- Copy another site’s maps, screenshots or discoveries. If we use community findings, we credit them and label them.
About our fan planners
Older suites and simulators in our tools catalogue were built before verified details existed. They are fan planners, and each now says so at the top.
Corrections
If you spot an error, tell us through our contact page, with a source if you can. We fix the page and record what changed and when.
