GTA 6 First-Hour Setup Checklist
A short list for the first time you start the game. It covers what you can prepare now. Items inside the game are general until we can check them in the release version.
How to use it
- Do the first two groups before launch day.
- Use the last group when you first open the settings.
- Ticks stay in this browser.
Worked example
Example: before starting the game, you install the update offered, mute spoiler words, then open settings and set subtitles first.
What this tool assumes
Menu names are unknown until release. This page will be updated once they are checked.
Questions
Can I play as soon as pre-load ends?
No. Pre-load puts the files on your console, and the launch date is 19 November 2026.
What time does it unlock?
Rockstar has not announced an unlock time on the pages we checked.
